If you did not make it to the Tony Boloney’s Pizza Slaughter Fest on May 14, 2011 in Atlantic City , NJ then you missed a great time. Plan on being there in 2012.
There were about 100 Vendors selling great food, jewelry, ice cream, cupcakes, pastries, and cigars; a beer garden; rides for children; great entertainment; celebrities; and the great Tony Boloney’s food.
There were flapper girls from Trumps Casino, the Hennessey girls models, the FIN bar model, and thousands of people just having a great time. DJ Questlove from the Jimmy Fallon Band Roots was performing live all morning. Celebrity NJ Funny Man & Bad Boy Of Comedy Mike Marino was making people laugh all day. Just a side note , if you didn’t make this event and missed Mike Marino , you can still see him live at the Borgata Hotel & Casino on May 20, 2011. Be there… I plan to.
The best was the Pizza Eating Contest. You wouldn’t believe the winner ate 30 slices of Pizza in 40 minutes. Unbelievable. This same guy won last year. His name is Jon “Super Squibb”. Man this guy can eat. He was one of sixteen contestants.
Hey , no kidding around, when you go to Atlantic City NJ you have got to stop at Tony Boloneys’s for their great food. You won’t regret it.
Consider this: they are the winners of the Guy Fieri Food Channel competition for the best cheese steak in the Philadelphia area. Yes , that is right they won the competition for the best cheese steak and beat all Philly contenders. That is some feat. Philly for decades has been the leader for the best cheese steak. Tony Boloney’s took the title with very litter competition and brought it to Atlantic City, NJ.
Now, I gotta say this was a great event for many reasons. However, my favorite reason for supporting this event is because it is to raise money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, to help children with cancer. I can’t think of a better cause.
